Getting over Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 One of the most widespread diseases of our centu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVCBCuX3vjw
Getting over Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 One of the most widespread diseases of our century is “Diabetes Mellitus.”It is estimated to effect 5% of the world’s population (about 300 million people). This article explains the life situation of a Type 2 diabetic (in other words not insulin dependent DM) person who first cured herself, then by returning to old habbits became diabetic again and finally re-cured herself. The methods shown are very simple, economic, can be easily applied in daily life, do not contradict with logic or common sense and fundamentally explain the importance of changing our nutrition habits. What you will recognize is that getting over “Diabetes Mellitus” is possible not only with Medicine but with the combination of Food Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Production Technology, Food Market and Salutary Herbs and passing to most convenient foods to our body. This also answers the questions of 1) why the diabetologists- eating all kinds of refined foods in International Diabetes Congress’- are diabetic themselves and 2) why the Diabetic Associations – which sells all kinds of refined foods in their canteens – c all kinds of refined foods in their canteens – can not cure DM. Under these circumstances what we have to do is to check our diet system once more and create a more conscious public awareness by warning the public and private institutions. What is ideal nutrition? When I began to eat consciously according to the needs of my body my blood glucose level came to normal measure. If you apply this menu consistently you will also get rid of the depressions and anxieties caused by running to doctors ,hungrily (you must not eat before analysis as you know),early in the morning and waiting for your test +analysis results and will be saved from blindness, gangrene, kidney diseases and other diseases caused by DM. By this nutrition-and of course your willpower- method your glucose level will begin to fall during your first week and you will be cured in 3-5 months completely. BREAKFAST:1) Firstly a green salad(rocket, watercress, endive, mallow,st inging nettle, lettuce, etc.)+natural oil+natural salt+lemon, 2) Wholewheat bread+cheese(100-150 gr) (Bulgur and soya are preferable to this), 3) An apple(or any other fruit) instead of jam, 4) Olives, onion(or garlic). LUNCH-DINNER:1)A salad like above before the meal, 2) A vegetable meal(parsley, leeks, spinachetc.), 3) Wholewheat bread-bulgur or branned rice, 4) 3-4 times weekly cereals (beans, chickpeas, etc.) can be eaten instead of bulgur or rice or bread, 5) During the meal or between the meals1 plate of soya (100-150 gr) or yogurt (100-150 gr) must be consumed per day.

Diabetic neuropathy in the cat

Dreamsicle (foster cat) returned by former adopter when he developed Diabetes Mellitus. You can see he is down on his hocks, with diabetic neuropathy (a condition caused by poorly regulated diabetes). I practiced a protocol called “tight regulation” with a low-carb canned diet and PZI (insulin), and his neuropathy improved (and he actually stopped being diabetic).
Dreamy also stars in another video of mine, illustrating how I test his blood sugar.

Mitochondrial DNA Variation at Position 16189 and Diabetes

Mitochondrial DNA Variation at Position 16189 and Diabetes: Frequency Amongst South Eastern Kenyan Populations

Mitochondrial dysfunction plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance and Diabetes Mellitus, and mitochondrial mutations have been reported to be a cause of maternally inherited diabetes and some features of metabolic syndrome. A substitution of thymidine for cytosine (T?C) at nucleotide position 16189C of the mitochondrial genome (mtDNA) may be associated with insulin resistance and type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. An analysis of subjects from five Asian countries confirmed an association between the 16189C variant and type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. However, a meta-analysis of previous research on European subjects did not show an association between the 16189C variant and disease expression. Due to the inconsistency of the results between the studies in Asians and Europeans; we decided to investigate other ethnic populations. DNA was extracted from cheek swab samples collected from the Mijikenda and Taita groups of southeast Kenya. The Hypervariable Region I of the mtDNA, where the mutation is found, was sequenced. The mutation is found at low frequencies in these Kenyan populations, 8.61% in the Taita sample and 9.62% in the Mijikenda sample. In contrast, previous studies indicated frequencies of 31.0% in Asian and 9.2% in European samples. Ethnic differences among populations may underlie risk association in a complex disease such as diabetes because the interaction between genes and environment, influences many aspects of the phenotype. It is not yet clear whether the 16189C variant is associated with diabetes risk, and specifically in Asian populations. It may be a risk factor for diabetes among Asian populations, and perhaps in other populations, but the specific metabolic effects of this mutation must be identified before definitive conclusions can be reached. It appears that mtDNA mutation at position 16189C is not a risk factor for the development diabetes, at least in south eastern Kenyans. Urban lifestyle patterns seem to be more influential in the development of diabetes in Kenyan populations. Association studies between diabetes and the 16189C mutation in other ethnic groups are needed as well.

What is the reason for increased appetite in diabetes mellitus?

Because your body isn’t getting the food it needs. With diabetes, your body can’t absorb the sugar because it doesn’t produce the insulin needed for this. As a result, your body is starving and therefore will start breaking down fat for energy. Ketones is a by product of this and that’s why it’s found in your blood stream. This is another reason why your body becomes acidic and you smell that fruity smell.

How long can be the honemoon period in diabetes mellitus.?

My daughter (13 years) who is diabetic since last 3 and a half months takes only 4 units of levemir insulin per day, doctors say that she may be going through honeymoon period. How long it can lost or is there some hope….?

It depends on the person. I’ve been diabetic for 28 yrs my honeymoon period lasted almost 2-yrs. Unfortunatley… I think when you ask if there is hope that you mean she doesn’t really have diabetes….She does I was hoping the doctors were wrong too. Good news is that there has been some really great advances in treatments and regulating blood sugar levels. Make sure she tests her glucose often to keep her levels in a normal range. I test 6 times a day. It’s is difficult sometimes…but in the long run she will be healthier. Give her a lot of encouragement…. teenage years are difficult enough but even harder when you’re trying to deal with managing diabetes. I’m hoping a cure is close. I am positive that she will beneifit from all the research done and that a cure will be developed within the next few years!
